Having Fun with Flowers: Design Workshops, Special Event Florals
The woodland theme is a unique way to utilize natural, diverse materials. Here is an example of a handheld ‘bouquet’ that departs from the more usual emphasis on flowers and greenery. It resembles a small dish garden and can be as creative and personal as desired.
In January, the desire to work with green plants increases, especially for those of us who live in parts of the country with cold winters. Making a comeback are terrariums . . . plants growing in a semi-enclosed environment that retains moisture and higher levels of humidity. Glass containers are most often used. Adding animals or stones add to the whimsy of the presentation. Water is added sparingly.
Dish gardens containing succulents are easy to care for . . . dogs add personality . . . no fairy gardens here!
